ACCC® Conductor

Specifications

Aluminium Conductor Composite Core (ACCC®) consists of hybrid carbon and glass fiber composite core which is wrapped with trapezoidal shaped Aluminium strands. The high strength structural core carries most of the conductor's mechanical load, while the fully annealed aluminum strands carry all of the conductor's electrical current. The Carbon composite core made ACCC® Conductor is much lighter and stronger than conventional Steel core. The ACCC® carbon composite core have a galvanic protection barrier layer of glass fiber coating to protects the carbon fiber core from physical damage and environmental factors like galvanic corrosion.

PRO’s:

  • 40% reduction of Line loss.
  • Low weight and Low SAG.
  • Reduced line losses due to the increased efficiency of ACCC conductors lead to lower operational costs over time. Reduce sag and improved reliability minimize maintenance needs and costs.
  • The high strength and reduced sag allows for longer spans between towers, minimizing the need for new structures and foundations. Longer spans can minimize the required right-of-way and also reducing land acquisition costs.

Application

Suitable for Reconductoring, Renewable, Newlines.
